Well here it is Wednesday afternoon and I have just started my first blog. I have never really done this before so I don't know what to talk about except the things that are currently going on in my life... Lets see I just got engaged to a wonderful man that I have been dating for quite a few years and he surprised me with our engagement in the most exciting way.
We planned to go to Vail Co which is like our second home to visit our friend Kevin who is amazing! ( and the owner of Etown in Edwards Co). we got there on Thursday night and everyone planned on going up on the mountain the following morning. Except for me because of course I had enough homework for like two weeks. So I stayed home and they all went out. When they got home they kept talking about how we were going to go ice skating before dinner. So all of us start getting ready and once we get there kevin, jade and melissa (jade and melissa flew there with us) said they had to go rent a snowboard for melissa for the following monday. i was like thats weird being that there was already a womens snowboard in kevins garage but decided not to say anything. So Jake and I go get our ski's on and start skating well I was skating and dragging poor Jake behind me. Now at this time it is Dumping snow on us and there is approximately 5 inches on snow already on the ice. (supposedly this is why J couldn't skate :))
So we are skating and J decides that he better stop before he breaks his head so he suggests we skate in the center where I can just spin him in circles. Before I know it I'm helping him to one knee and he is saying the most precious things ever. he asks, I say YES, and then he asks " don't you want to see the ring?" at this point I could care less about the ring, I'm slowly starting to realize what is going on, but then he shows me the ring and WOW is all I can say. I am such a lucky woman and have the most amazing man in my life and now he will always be there. he is my best friend and we have been through a lot and thankfully we have eachother to come home to. Oh and for Kevin, Jade and Melissa they were hiding in the snow taking pictures and video of us on our amazing night!
So after that we had dinner and drinks and then went to ETown for more drinks and were surrounded by friends who got us a hotel room for the night! We have the most amazing friends and having them with us on our special night made it that more amazing!
